I want to congratulate Illiterati for being a finalist for the Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award. There is more information on better written blogs like, Circle Jerk at the Square Dance and Earthgoat. Anyway, her book is called Icebergs, and you all should read it. I've been trying for months to buy a copy, but Prairie Lights keeps telling me it's on order and there are already several holds for it. One of these days, though...

It's my favorite thing about Quincenearas The Movie, that it really IS so much more about the family finally seeing her as a young woman than the mainstream idiot teen movie shit.

Bogger can be such a bitch sometimes. I don't know why it's gotta make commenting such a challenge. I've never seen Quncenearas, before. Maybe the girls and I can watch it together and laugh about all the over-the-top Quince's we've witnessed.
