See These Eyes So Green, I Can Stare for a Thousand Years

Here is a photo of a guy walking in front of me collecting cans.

Sooooo, I guess all the build-up this week only means one thing. Coadster is going to prom this Saturday night. I hope she has fun. She is going with a boy who lives one block over from us and who is in show choir with her. He is a really good guy and I think they'll have a great time with the 7 other couples they're doing things with. She asked me if I'd go with her to her friend's house to take photos. Duh. Of course. I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Here is a flower.

Tomorrow night Coadster will babysit for my friend K.'s boyfriend's son, so they can go to a show at the Mill. Stinky will have a trackmeet until 10'ish, so I might even have an hour in there somewhere to myself.

Coadster was at a soccer game in a town about an hour and a half away. Their game went into double overtime and so she should be home pretty close to midnight tonight and she still has to finish her math homework. So, I'm trying to blog quickly and finishing paying my bills on-line to leave the computer open when she gets home. This one computer and one bathroom for three girls can be kind of tricky sometimes.

David Bowie's "Cat People" just came on my iTunes. I love that song so much, but when Stinky heard it, she said, "So, you like this song?" and made that face. You know the one. It's the same one I make when some of her favorite songs come on. I guess we're even then.

Okay, that's all I have time for. Let me know what you're up to and if I don't get on here this weekend, Happy Mother's Day! to all you muthah's...You know who you are.

See these tears so blue
An ageless heart
that can never mend
These tears can never dry
A judgement made
can never bend
See these eyes so green
I can stare for a thousand years
Just be still with me
You wouldn't believe what I've been thru

You've been so long
Well, it's been so long
And I've been putting out fire
with gasoline
putting out fire with gasoline

Oh yeah... I am loving it too! Thanks for the reminder, Churlita. Geeze we have similar taste!

Much luck to your beauties... with track, soccer and the prom. And you, mom, you have some good time for yourself!

Math homework...blergh...I'm so glad I've been there and done that so I don't have to do that again.

Okay, this weekend - tomorrow I'm hosting a baby shower for my friend (Ksra) at my apartment's leasing office and then Sunday my mom and I are going to Petitti's garden center to pick out some flowers. Then we're going to see the Star Trek movie. A full weekend!

Have a great time this weekend!

I hope Coadster has a great time! I assume we'll see a picture or two :-)
Happy Mother's Day, Churlita. We are having a big family bar-be-que at the Kick Back Dude and crew house. And it should be about 100 degrees....

I share the bathroom with just two girls, fortunately, plus my son when he's here.

My stepdaughter love the '80's. Yesterday she had her little ipod/speaker combo in the bathroom and was BELLOWING along to "The Safety Dance" while she showered. My wife and I looked at one another, both of us rolled our eyes and I said "You know, some lost eighties songs are best left lost eighties songs..."

Apparently she bought Musical Youth's "Pass the Dutchie" on Itunes this week as well. It's going to be a long adolescence.

Being late because of a soccer game is always acceptable!

Hope prom is a great time.

You get a present early, don't you? Sending one of your dearie daughters off to prom will be pretty damned fun.

I love David Bowie, and the movie Cat People (the old one and the remade from the 80's) but I cannot remember the song.

I hope your girl has a good time at the prom - I like the way kids do it now - in big groups and it seems like less pressure to have a big romantic night.

Hope the prom went okay and there were no tears or misunderstandings. (Like, was he really gay?)
