What's Goin' On

Here is a recycled picture from last year about this time that I uploaded at work. I just wanted to see a photo. That's all.

Computer Update: I brought the old girl to BK's last night, and all the rumors about his expertise were true.

The bad thing is that my computer is all infected with bad juju. All this time, I thought she had been using protection. Apparently, the anti-virus stuff the cable company offered for free, wasn't updating or something. It kept giving me reports showing me the viruses that were detected and deleted, but never said anything about the ones that were NOT detected and deleted. BK tried getting rid of the cyber clap, but it didn't work.

The good thing is that he's going to keep working on it to see if he can clean her up, (dirty girl) and re-install the system. I'm still hoping it doesn't turn into a hardware problem. BK says he should know something this weekend.

Since he won't take my money, I'm going to spend some time this weekend rolling enchiladas, and refrying beans, and chopping veggies for pico de gallo salsa. It still won't come close to what I owe him, though.

I promise tomorrow, I'll write about something other than my stupid, boring computer...For real, this time.

No glove, no love, that goes for computers as well.

Killer,

You try to instill that into computers, and they don't want to listen. Stupid computers.

It's such a fine line between computer as sexy and computer as slut. Maybe when Bob's done, you could outfit it in a little Catholic schoolgirl number. (I can NOT be bothered to delete the above, even though it only made sense to ME.)

Bob is good. Bob is great. Thank Bob on behalf of your readers, will you? (Although this has been an interesting experience - wanting to give you a computer, but having no computer to give. What is THAT about?)

You know you'll still love her, cyber-clap or not.

I just saw your comment at my place - I TOTALLY understand about your computer probs and have been keeping up with that. I can't believe it's turned out to be so full of virii, but glad to hear Bob's working on it and you'll be back in the loop again soon!

Booda Baby,

I know. I just want to sit down and talk to my computer about the difference between good attention and bad attention.

Oh, and I wasn't very clear, here. Bob is different than BK. BK has a very distinctive first name, so I'm only using his initials. Both Bob and BK are great and good, though.

Fringes,

Next Jerry Springer episode: My computer's a whore, but I still love her.

Lynnster,

I will be so happy when my computer woes are solved one way or the other. I guess I didn't realize how much I did on-line until I was restricted from it.

Your homepage thing says you are "Simply Ungoogleable".

Well once she's up and running again you get to break out the lab coat, the Van der Graaf generator and scream, "It lives! It lives!" whilst laughing maniacally.

That's what I'd do anyway.

I thought refried beans only came in cans. I didn't know you could actually refry beans. I figured it was just "what they call it", not an actual process. Please, do tell.

you can re-fry beans?

Bro In-law,

I need to google "simply ungoogleable" sometime once that thing you're tired of hearing about gets fixed. I also need to make you guys some enchiladas one of these days here too.

Rel,

When I was in college, my roommate and I had a poster up that said, "guys we know named, Bob" and people would come over and write down the full names of Bob's they knew. We thought it was hilarious.

Mr Atrocity,

I'll be doing all kinds of maniacal things once my computer is up and running. I can't wait.

Liz,

Refrying is kind of a misnomer. You're actually just recooking, since you cook the beans once, and then "fry" them and mush them all up.

Margaret,

See my answer to Liz.
