But I Know Sometimes I Must Get Out In the Light

Kitten in a dryer.

I had a nice evening on Sunday. Coadster is going back to school this week, and decided not to hang out with her friends in order to spend some time with me. We made Mexican food and watched the movie, The Kids Are Alright. It was pretty interesting. Mostly, it was just nice to have some time with Coadster.

Tonight I went out for Mexican food with the guy. We did some talking and planning on our cross country ski trip for this weekend. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to go up to Wisconsin and have an entire weekend to ski and eat and hang out with the guy.

Now, I have to go to bed, so I can wake up and swim in the morning. I've been working on getting better and stronger, so I can realistically think about doing a triathlon...The upside, is that I'm really starting to love it. I don't have the best technique in the world, but I'm feeling stronger and I'm finally getting the breathing down. When I do the back stroke, I find myself looking up at the ceiling and letting my scary brain go. It's coming close to the feeling I get from runner's high. Can you imagine, two free different exercise induced highs? It's great to have options....

I bought a bellydance workout DVD last weekend and worked on some of it the other day and did the whole thing yesterday. My hips hurt like hell, but I know that's a good thing. :)

Sounds like you'll have no problem with a triathalon. Good for you! I can't swim in a pool - well, I can, but I hate the chlorine...

A friend just posted this on facebook: http://www.winforkctri.org/
a triathlon for women.
I seem to be allergic to exercise. I have painful shin splints that don't go away whenever I start an exercise program.

Runner's and swimmer's high! Good deal. I know you can totally rock the triathalon.
The cross country ski weekend sounds great!
Nice that you got to spend time with Coadster before she returned to school :-)

You have been busy, I say, as I catch up with people I have missed. A kitten, A guy, a new set of guns! woah. Very cool to be training for the triathalon. I never had to wind for distance.. definitely a sprinter.
good to see your smile- and I have a gift for you at my other other blog.. if you ever need a new screen saver. hahaha.

I still have to see that movie. I know it will be soon as it is most likely going to be nominated for a Best Picture Oscar. That will guarantee that I will see it!
