For I Toss and Turn, I Can't Sleep at Night

Look! My seeds have germinated. It normally takes about 7 - 10 days but mine are overachievers and made it up in 4. Good, good seeds.

Oh, kids. I've got Spring fever and I got it baaaaad. I can't sleep and my attention span went AWOL again. I have all this crazy false energy that makes it so I get about 4 hours of sleep a night if I'm lucky, but I'm so exhausted that I can't get anything practical done either. Tonight I rode my bike home from work and then went on one of my longer runs. I hadn't tried to run that route since before I moved, so I had to figure out the best way to go. I ended going a little differently than I used to, but it made it more of an 8 mile run than a 10 mile and I didn't think I was quite ready to run that far yet. It felt great.

So, now I'm going to end this post and finally try to get some sleep tonight. I figure I'll give myself time to relax and read and see if that helps. If not, I'm sure tomorrow's blog post will be even more erratic and hard to read. Sorry. Hey, Happy Spring!

Churlita,
Sleep? Really, can you tell me where to find that elusive entity?
Spring; nature's adrenalin shot!

Have you ever noticed that as you get older you require less sleep? I can usually get by on 6 hrs.. Although my body would beg to differ..Hope you got more than 4 hrs od sleep.. Happy Spring!

Don't you wish we could bottle some of that for January?

What do you have planted?

I hope you tuckered yourself enough to sleep really really well.

We got dumped on by a foot of wet spring snow. So my workout today was shoveling!

There goes any energy I might have had...

I have been trying to adjust to my new office hours (which start only a half hour earlier than I usually start, but I have to train myself to wake up earlier), and still adjusting to the daylight savings time. I didn't get much sleep the night before because of the thunderstorm, and then last night my mind wouldn't stop working.

My sleep patterns get all crazy every spring. I think it's from the time change and the increased amount of sunlight. My usual solution is a couple of glasses of red wine at night to settle down. Of course, that's my solution to everything...

Rel, If only I knew...

Mrs., 6 hours is pretty good for me too.

Mn MOm, I have mostly tomatoes and basil seedlings. I have a bunch of lilies and glads and dahlia bulbs I'm going to plant as soon as it gets warm enough.

Booda Baby, I kind of did. I got about 5 hours which was an improvement.

Skyler's, snow shoveling is a hell of a work-out.

Tara, A half hour is huge in the mornings. I wish I had an off switch for my brain too.

Johnny, I like the red wine prescription. I might have to refill mine.

Laura, I will but I have to warn you...It's false energy so it just means you can't fall asleep or concentrate. Still want it?
