And I Thought I Was Mistaken And I Thought I Heard You Speak

Here is a pic of whoopee cushion love.

Wow. Three whole days. It's never enough, though, is it? Friday was a really productive day for me. The snow and cold held off until much later in the day, so I got a nice run in and then I did a ton of outside work. I did some organizational crap that is never very blogworthy, and then I raked the leaf mulch off my two raised beds. Since I moved in November, I have no idea what's planted anywhere. Right now, it looks like I have a rose bush, some mint, Echinacea, and some Irises. I also planted some basil and tomato seedlings in my house. I love watching them sprout and grow into adorable, little organic plants.

Saturday I woke up with a migraine. I should've known. I was kind of low energy on Friday evening and that can sometimes mean I'm on the road to brain pain. My meds take a few hours to work, but then my headache was gone. It just sucks to lose those couple of hours. Saturday night was really nice. I stopped by a friend's house to drop off a few things and ended up staying and having a beer and a really nice talk. G. called me to pick her and our friend J. up. I wasn't really in the frame of mind to go out, but I had already promised, so I figured I'd go and have a beer and make a quick exit.

Here's me distracting pool players...Again.

Then when we got down to the bar, I saw a lot of great people I hadn't had a chance to hang out with in forever. It was so much fun. I was still pretty wiped out from my migraine, so I lasted until about 11:30 before I had to go home. Between both parts of it, I'd call that almost a perfect Saturday night.

Sunday was a day of running kids around. I ended up doing all the errands I wasn't able to do with the funky vision I get with my migraines on Saturday. So, for three days, I didn't get as much done as I wanted, but I doubt I ever will. The good thing is, that Summer's coming and then I'll have about 4 weeks of vacation to burn. Yeee Haaaaw!

you know to beware of mint, right? it can take over...

I had a premigraine on Sat. I ended up at my sister's for dinner, leaning over the kitchen countertop holding my head up. She suggested I take my migraine medication. At $7 a pill or whatever it is, I avoid doing it, and I also wonder if it is premigraine. But I took it, laid on the couch for literally 10 minutes,a nd I was fine. I gotta learn!!!

Those deep breathing exercises? Have you given them a try? (Just asking, not expecting.)
I LOVE finding out what's in a garden. You have an interesting arrangement, don't you? Irises are always such a nice surprise. If I had to plant them myself, I'd go the 'exotic iris' route - like a Japanese iris that can't survive more than one season. Or the iris that smells like vanilla. Point is, I'd have to plant iris every year. What what what will you plant?

This is honest to god true. My word verification is: greene. I took a screen shot because who'd believe that, so if you don't believe that I'm just saying I've got some proof.

Damn migrains! I'm glad it went away.

I love to garden too. I don't have one but my friend is letting me use his this year.

I hope you had as much as it looked like when you were threatening to grab the pool player's ass. Ha

Glad you got some fun time this weekend! Mine was full of kids, work and studying for the test I had today. One break I got-- my son was able to drive himself to band practice on Saturday with his brand new driver's license.

I don't miss migraines-- I know I've mentioned that I used to get them as a teenager. They went away when I stopped living with my father. Mine were short-duration-- an hour or so. My landlord gets migraines that last 2 and 3 days, which I can't even imagine.

You are quite a trooper with that migraine! Way to stick it out!

Nor, For sure. Lavender does that with me too. I'm good at containing the intrusive herbs. Sometimes $7 is really worth curbing a migraine.

Booda Baby, I've done those and the biofeedback thing too. They can work sometimes when my migraine is pretty mild. Once it gets to a certain point though, I need actual drugs. Sigh.

Ananda, I did have that much fun. Ha ha. I can't wait to see pics of your garden too.

Tera, Hey. I haven't heard from you in forever. Glad to see you're back.

LauraB., Doesn't it though? Some of it might be spent at races and getting Coadster oriented for college and stuff, but it's still time not spent at work.

Johnny, Mine used to last 3 days straight until I got meds for them. Sorry to hear your weekend was so not fun. Maybe next weekend?

MrManuel, Thanks. I've had them since I was 10. You'd think I'd be used to them by now, but no such luck./
