No Promises, No Demands

Here are the girls playing ball in our even older neighborhood - when we still lived above a bar.

Sooooo, I'm still working on packing. I seem to have run out of boxes, so I got to do fun things, like clean out the refrigerator and the freezer. Quit being jealous. I mean it. I guess tomorrow after work I'm off on a hunt for boxes. Everyone keeps telling me to declutter, but I love my books. I want my books. I NEED them. All of them...Even the ones I've already read. So, yeah. Tomorrow I'll just find me some more boxes.

I'm still trying to write little mini-posts, but have given up on responding to comments this week. I'll be back with a plethora of pithy comments and continue to cut everyone with my sharp wit (cough) again next week, when I'm in my new place. But this week y'all are off the hook...You can thank me later.

I keep trying to get in touch with a local library to see if they except "gently used" text books. I have no need for my biology 101 book that the book store wouldn't buy back.

Can you get some boxes from work? We order lots of copy paper and are able to use the boxes once they're empty. They're nice boxes, too, the handles are already cut out.

Sorry I'm late to the party, but big congratulations on getting the sublettor. I know what a relief that is.

Good luck with the move, and hope you post some pics of the new place.

I think it is great that you are attached to your books :-) If you put out the word, you'll end up with more boxes than you can handle, I'll bet.

No. I said I wasn't going to comment on the comments, but I just did that now too. So, who the hell knows?

Of course. It's vicariousity that's gone too far, when I'm thinking the whole time that not in a billion years would I blog ... I've been doing that a lot recently. Misreading blogs to my OWN advantage which is always rude and I apologize.
