Let Me Tell You How It Will Be

Oh, thank Jaysus , Mary and Joseph. My federal taxes are finally done. Barring any inputting errors made by me, (and I do happen to be an expert at inputting errors) I should get my refund next Friday sometime. If I made a stupid mistake or twenty, it could be the week after that. Either way, I'll have my dough before the end of the month.

Now, I'm so, so tired and I just want to go to bed. All I want right now is to think good, happy thoughts. Just in case you were wondering, these are what my good, happy thoughts look like:

Ahhhhh.
Ahhhhh.
And ahhhhh.

I feel so much better now.

I never mess with mine, I let my accountant take care of that. The Fed and State are always easy, but here in Ohio we have city taxes that are rather difficult to deal with. Way too much effort for 1 and 2%.

Taxes are like car repairs to me. Sure, I could probably do them myself, but it'll take me a lot longer and cause me a lot more stress.

Mazel tov. I remember those happy days of tax refunds. Now that I'm just doing freelance work, the thought is more like "oh shit, I wonder how much money I should have saved for taxes..." Sigh.

Congratulations on getting your taxes done! It's nice to unwind after something like that. Love the photos.

There's nothing like a tax return to make me feel more like I live in a real life version of Terry Gilliam's Brazil.

"This is your receipt for your husband... and this is my receipt for your receipt."

Oh, your happy thoughts are beautiful. What the hell did you go and do your taxes so early for? Oh. You get money BACK. All's explained. I'm like Danny. It's all a hazy memory to moi.

I'm grateful, really. You've inspired me to at least put Doing Taxes on my calendar.

There was a teenage boy perilously close to one of your girls. Are you crazy? Do you know what teenage boys are capable of?

I've known some teenage boys. They should be locked in boxes until they turn 25.

I mean, that happened to me, and I turned out just fine.

REl,

You and me both.

Evil-E,

I can't imagine having to do even more taxes. City taxes? Yeesh!

AlienCG,

I know. And some years I do, but this year it got too late and blah and blah and blah.

Danny,

I know it stinks if you're a freelancer type.

Tara,

Thanks.

Mr Atrocity,

It's been way too long since I've seen that movie. I may have to rectify that soon.

DJ,

What are you doing this weekend? What bars do you go to there?

Booda Baby,

Believe me, if I didn't get money back, I wouldn't even think about them until April.

Gyuss,

It's okay. He's just a friend and doesn't seem to have much interest in the opposite sex anyway.

Nor,

Just a friend. There's nothing to worry about there.

LauraB.,

Thanks. I think so too.

Mrs.,

You are one smart lady.
