And Ooh, Won't You Take Me There

This weekend of Erik's visit was wonderful and fun. The days were mellow and relaxing and the nights were social and entertaining. Of course, that means I'm kind of wiped out tonight. So, instead of a weekend recap or of doing the Saturday photo scavenger hunt, I'm just going to do a quick and dirty post about our date last night.

First we went out for sushi at Takanami. It was very, very good. We had some shrimp tempura and eel and avocado roll, some spicy white tuna, another crab meat and salmon roll and lastly we tried salmon roe with a raw quail egg on top of it. Seriously, it was quite an amazing taste sensation and as always with Erik, great conversation.

We then headed over to The Dublin Underground where some of Erik's friends were supposed to meet us. Like most of his friends, they were fun and interesting to talk to.

Then the other, regular cool kids showed up and we had ourselves a blast.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, people started seeking me out to let me know that my girl crush and her fiance were on their way into town. Hooray!

We went straight into dance party mode, and danced to Michael Jackson's PYT. My favorite bartender S., called me POT (pretty old thing). Which made me laugh very, very hard - after I hit him, of course.

I even got to dance with my girl crush and Erik at the same time. I could have died and gone to heaven (or wherever I'll end up) right then and there.

But after all that fun, it was obviously time to go home. Erik called us a cab...

...And my girl crushes fiance, picked her up, threw her over his shoulder and took her home too.

The end.

Those look like "family"-themed shots to me! That's awesome, I'm so glad you had such a great weekend! The food sounds amazing too. i always get hungry when people talk about going out for sushi.

You'll have these pictures forever. Making memories is the second best part.

Rel,

Good for you.

Evil-E,

I told you I don't write about everything on here.

Tara,

They are a kind of totally fun dysfunctional family.

Fringes,

I totally agree.

DJ,

Hip, hip hooray!

Mr.

Thanks. You know how much I love pictures.

Gyuss,

That's so sweet of you, but no. I think we're both happy with our guys. As long as we get to keep our dance parties.

Booda Baby,

Since Winter might never end, we might as well have fun.

Mrs,

You are so right.

LauraB,

He is a lucky guy.

LA,

Thanks. You've seen me not in love many times, so I'm glad you get to see me in love now.
