Let the Good Times Roll, Let Them Knock You Around

So, my internet was hit and miss most of last night and by the time I went to blog, it had missed altogether. It always acts up when the weather is weird. I guess last night it was too cold or something. Tomorrow, I'm going back to the cable company and try to get yet another modem. If that doesn't work, I'll have to try some different options. I just don't want to spend so much time trying to unplug and plug back in all of my computer related crap all the time. It isn't like I don't have anything else to do...

I hope you all have a good weekend. I have a lot to do, so I'll let you know how much of it actually gets done when it's over.

I hate computer problems, I hope you get a good modem that lasts you a long time.

It kills me when I call my internet provider because I'm having problems, and their biggest advice sometimes is just to unplug, wait 30 seconds and then plug it back in. You'd think there'd be a more complex solution.

This reminds me of an old Dilbert comic where Dogbert is working in tech support. Every call he gets, just as soon as the person starts talking he shouts "Shut up and reboot!!"

We have to do the "unplug/plug" thing with our Airport. I suspect it has something to do with the fact that some of our neighbors are probably cadging of our wifi. I'd set a password, but we weren't able to get my wife's pc laptop to work with it.

I'm on my second modem.

Skyler: I love the tech support response where if your internet is completely down, they tell you to send them an email describing the problem.
