And My Time Was Running Wild

This is what the course looked like - all frozen ruts. Really tough to ride on.

This weekend The Guy competed in Cyclocross Nationals in Madison, Wisconsin. He actually finished 7 places higher than predicted. Which was great.

The Guy taking the first hill.

We drove to Madison after work and went straight to Pizza Brutta to eat. After that we headed to my brother's house. He was away on vacation, so we had the place to ourselves...Well, if you don't count the dog and cats. Basically, we took care of the pets and then went to bed.

The obligatory cheese head. This is Wisconsin, after all.

We woke up early on Saturday and headed to the park. It was cold and after the previous muddy days, all the ruts had frozen and were so hard, they were popping people's tires right and left, plus people were sliding and crashing all over the place. The Guy said he crashed more in that one race than in all the other races this season combined.

The winner of The Guy's race and a former mountain bike Olympian athlete.

After the race, we met my oldest sister at her townhouse. I had never seen it before and it was very nice. We all went out for lunch at an Indian restaurant that had the best buffet I'd ever seen. So much good food.

Me taking more photos of myself next to things with bigger cheeks than mine.

We drove back to Iowa City and showered and then I picked up Stinky and some take-out sushi. After we ate, we decided to finally watch Singin' in the Rain. I hadn't seen it since I was a kid. What a fun movie.

The Guy shooting pool at the Ice House in Riverside, Ia.

On Sunday I woke and had a very leisurely morning. I read some and took a long hot bath and then by 12:30, The Guy and I were on our bikes, headed for Riverside, the future birthplace of James Tiberius Kirk. We had a nice ride and when we got there, we hung out at the Ice House and ate lunch, had a couple of pints and played a few games of pool. I tried to ride pretty hard on the way home, to see if I was getting stronger from my trainer work-outs. I did feel stronger. I guess we'll see what happens when I race again in the Spring.

On Sunday night, we watched the Exorcist. The last time I saw it was in 1983. The only parts I really remembered about it where the demon possessed Linda Blair scenes. It still was able to creep me out, all these years later.

I hope you all had a Linda Blairless weekend.

Have a Drink, Have a Drive. Go Out and See What You Can Find.

So, I turn 46 on Saturday. As I've said many times before - I'm not one of those people who freaks out on my birthday or gets depressed about getting older....Yet.

I'm off work tomorrow and Monday. Tomorrow morning, The Guy and Coadster are all going out to breakfast together. Then they will both go to work and I will play and play. Well, I'll at least run and bike and probably mow the lawn and pack.

That's right. The Guy is taking me to Galena for the weekend. We're going to stay in the Irish hotel there and ride our bikes to a vineyard/winery and maybe kayak too. Yea! I'm so excited. I hope you all have a lovely weekend too.

Helter Skelter in the Summer Swelter

This is what I woke up to this morning. Damn Vandals.

Last night was lovely. The Guy was finishing up editing a labor law manual for a friend of his, so I spent most of the evening on the porch reading with Archie and a glass of wine. Exactly the relaxing evening I needed. The Guy finished at almost the exact same time Coadster got done with her night class. We all sat down and watched an Andy Griffith episode and then had a nice talk afterward.

Archie sitting guard over the bird feeder. His favorite post.

I woke up today to a nicely egged car. of course, I didn't have time to get it washed before work, so I guess that will be my first order of business this evening. My second order will be to make some beet salad and get things ready to grill sweet potato fries and salmon. Coadster loves salmon and even said she'd hang out and eat dinner with us tonight. Hurray!

Archie reaching out to harass Heidi. Just another night at our house.

Tomorrow morning, The Guy and I will wake up early and head to Clear Lake, Iowa. We will get to see the land where the music died and race bikes there. They have a Bikes, Blues and BBQ festival there every year and I think a lot of the music gets played at the Surf Ballroom (where Buddy Holly and Company performed right before they died).

I'm excited about the road race on Sunday - even if it is longer than I've ever raced before. It's a 42 mile jaunt. My legs are tired just thinking about it.

Coadster wrestling her foot away from Archie.

We will spend the night in Clear Lake and do one more day of racing before heading home on Sunday. As always, I'll let you all know how it goes...

That's Entertainment

Here are some more pics of Union Station.

So, today I want to talk a little bit about my Megabus experience. For those of you who don't know, the Megabus is a handy little way to get from certain places to other certain places, quickly and cheaply. It cost us about what we would have paid in gas, but we didn't have to drive in Chicago and got there in about 3 hours and 50 minutes. not bad.

There is pretty much any kind of person on the Megabus. On the way there, we saw an older, seemingly fairly wealthy couple (judging by their clothes and the rock on her finger) as well as plenty of students and also Chicago inhabitants. So, with all those different kinds of folk in a small space, there are bound to be culture clashes.

On the way to Chicago, K. and I sat next to a very geeky guy from Des Moines, who was obsessed with his cell phone and would talk loudly about it to anyone who would listen...Or anyone who was just there. Once we got to downtown Chicago, the Des Moines guy kept saying dorky things like, "We don't have one of those in Des Moines," or "Hey, that looks like the Family Matters neighborhood." At one point he took a pic with his phone and said, "I need to get this on Facebook, right NOW...."

To which, the African American Chicago native sitting behind him said, "You might want to wait to do that until you get off the bus and can take pic of something better. You do know that's a parking garage, right? Yeah. you're gonna see plenty of those." Hilarious.

And yes, Bro-In-Law, it is where they filmed that one scene in the Untouchables.

Going home on Megabus wasn't quite as entertaining...Unless you count being scared shitless as entertainment. K. and I both commented on how unhealthy the bus driver looked the minute we saw him. He was one of those older guys who look 9 months pregnant and almost assuredly had diabetes and a bad heart. He also coughed up some powerful sounding loogies the whole way home (EW!).

Anyway, after we were safely in Iowa, I looked over at the driver and realized he was shaking something fierce. I tried to reassure myself that he was probably just moving with the vibrations of the bus, but it was way more exaggerated than that. Then, when it started to rain, it took him a long time to turn on the windshield wipers. I tried to turn my head away and stop my worst case scenario thoughts like, "He's having a seizure." Or, "He's having a heart attack", or "Holy crap! We're all gonna die!" But then we suddenly started to swerve to the side of the road as an ambulance passed us on the interstate. Soon after, another presumed Megabus employee in a uniform walked up right behind the bus driver and watched him for a bit. He then moved into the seat directly behind the driver and quietly asked, "Bob, are you okay?" I couldn't hear the bus driver's response, but he stopped shaking and the other employee sat behind him the whole rest of the way to Iowa City. Weird, huh?

I Smelled the Spring On the Smoky Wind

Here is the Megabus we took going back to Iowa.

Oh, kids. This four day weekend was insane...in a good way. I have so many stories and news to share, but unfortunately, the thing about having a life, is that you don't ever have time to write about it. Not that I'm complaining...

A very tired gentleman greeting us at Union Station.

K. and I took the Megabus to Chicago and then waited for K.'s boyfriend at the Union Station bar. it's always so weird to get out of a college town, because you suddenly see people your own age. I forgot old people like me still existed and were allowed to roam wild like that.

We took the train to K.'s boyfriend's place and after some furious texting, made plans with my friends Catherine and Poptart. We decided to go to K's boyfriend's favorite neighborhood pub for a drink and some appetizers and then we all met at a Cuban restaurant called 90 Miles that was in walking distance of the show.

The dinner was so nice. I worked with Catherine at La Caca in the late 80's and with Poptart at Great Midwestern in the 90's. We all had a lot to catch up on and we did that in really nice ambiance with a bottle of wine and over plantains covered in garlic sauce. Perfect.

We finally rolled ourselves out of the restaurant and made it to the show.

The Pogues!

It's weird to go to shows in big cities after 9-11. They separate the men from the women so they can feel you up for bombs or guns or whatever. How fun is that? We caught a little bit of the opening band, but weren't all that impressed.

We waited for an hour before The Pogues came on stage. Shane stumbled on stage and my friend Catherine said, "He'll never finish the tour." Then he said something into the microphone and she said, "I can't understand a word he's slurring." The crazy thing about him though, is that he has a really consistent singing voice and the band was wonderful. Since it is about the most perfect drinking music, I saw more old drunk people than I've seen in one room in a looooong time.

I'll tell you more later. I had a doctor's appointment earlier today and now I'm playing catch-up (mmmm ketchup) all day.

Just Want to Spend Eternity Right Where I Am. On the Sunny Side of the Street

Here is a picture of a picture.

So, kids. K'.s dad is doing better and we get to go see the Pogues after all. Yea! i'm so excited. It will be a short and cheap trip. We're taking the Megabus there tomorrow morning, getting into Chicago in the afternoon. We'll have about 5 hours before doors open. I will see my friend Catherine because she's going to the show with us and hopefully my friend Poptart. But that's really the only people I'll have time to hang with.

The doors open at 7 and the show will probably end pretty early as far as concerts are concerned. We'll go for a quick drink, then back to K.'s boyfriend's apartment where I will sleep on the floor. But it will be free and that's a HUGE bonus. Our Megabus leaves pretty early the next morning and then we'll be back in Iowa City in the afternoon.

I plan on running, and getting a few things done when I get back. Then on Friday evening, Stinky asked if The Guy and I would go to dinner at Mickey's with her. I thought that was pretty damn sweet. What teenager actually asks their mom and her boyfriend to hang out with her on a Friday evening. Sure, it's early...And Stinky loves to join forces with The Guy to give me a hard time, but I'm still happy about it all.

So, now I must sleep, so I can get up early and get a swim in with The Guy before I leave for the big city.

If I Go There Will Be Trouble. If I Stay It Will Be Double

Um, yeah. Here's Archie's latest annoying thing to do. How often do you suppose I'll have to get new blinds?

Soooo, tomorrow is my Friday. The plan was to go to Chicago with my friend K. and see the Pogues tomorrow night. Nothing like an Irish punk band to get the St Paddy's holiday started off right. The only this is that K.'s dad was just in the hospital with some horrible infection that wasn't responding to antibiotics. I guess it's better now, but I'm still not sure if we'll be able to go to Chicago or not. I don't know my way around Chicago at all, so I can't really go by myself.

Even if I don't end up going, I'll still take those days off of work. It would be nice to have a couple of days to stay home and get things done around here and run and swim. I'll have a better idea tomorrow night if I'm going or staying.

Goin' Mobile. Keep Me Movin'.

we're going to try really hard to keep Archie out of the laundry room this weekend.

So, my starter in my car needed to be replaced. I also had them try to get my hatch to work again. It had been stuck shut since the tornado. I was afraid that if I ever got it open, I may not get it closed again. They said it was jammed with broken glass from when that back window shattered into a million pieces due to the force of the winds. Anyway, it actually works now. Weird. It wasn't horribly expensive, and I had the money to afford it, so It wasn't horrible.

So, this weekend...I actually some plans this time around. Tomorrow night, I'm making the brown sugar salmon, some almond rice pilaf and saute'ing asparagus, red bell pepper, and zucchini in garlic butter and white wine. The girl crush is going to visit and she'll finally get to see my house, meet Archie and officially meet The Guy. I'm so excited.

On Saturday morning, The Guy and I are going to drive to Des Moines to pick up his new car. He got it $500 cheaper than buying one here in town, so it's very worth the drive. I'm not sure what will happen when we come back in the afternoon. If it snows enough, we might try to ski...In the evening, we're going to go out for a nice dinner to celebrate our mobility. Yea us!

I'm not sure what's going on for Sunday yet. I'll have to let you know after it happens.

So, what do any of you have planned this weekend? Will you be hanging out with your girl crushes who are visiting from out of town or going out of town yourselves?

If You Want It, Come and Get It

Here is a pic of me wearing a bonnet. When in Kalona...Do what the Amish do, right?

Well, I had another lovely weekend. On Friday I picked up the guy and headed to the Co-op to pick up a few things. Remind me never to go there when I'm hungry again. I picked the few items I needed, but then got some fresh bread and some Greek olives and smoked salmon and dill neufchatel. The guy said since we had all that snacky stuff maybe we didn't even need to worry about dinner, but I made it anyway. Apparently, I'd hate to waste away or anything...

The guy displaying some jumpy shoes we found at the Mantique store.

I ran on Saturday and did a few things around the house. The girls got tickets to the college football game and did a little sisterly bonding.

I picked up the guy and we headed off for Kalona. Kalona is a little community with many Amish and Mennonite residents, so it happens to be very quaint and full of quilts and horses and buggies and antique shops. It's a great little place to poke around in. We checked out the furniture store and the bakery and a super girly antique store. While we were in there, we heard someone talking about the MANtique store next to it, and we decided to check that out. There were all kinds of contraptions and geegaws.

Our bartender rooting for the wrong team.

At 5, all the shops closed up and we still had an hour to kill before dinner. We found a cute little shack like bar and ordered drinks and settled in to watch the Hawks lose at the end of the game. Our bartender was an Ohio State fan, and so he cheered at the most inappropriate times.

We had a really nice and romantic dinner at the Tuscan Moon again. The guy ordered a martini. I'm not much of a martini drinker, but he was really sweet and offered me one of his olives...Which I do love. We always split our food. This time we got crab cakes as an appetizer and then split the shrimp fettucini pasta and the grilled shrimp and scallops and garlic mashed potatoes. Truly amazing.

I got some great time with Coadster today. Stinky was at work, so Coadster came back from her dad's while I was watching the end of Invictus and then we went to Menards and looked at junk for a bit. It was a nice way to spend a drizzly Sunday in November.

We Were Running All Around and Having a Blast

Here is a picture of my girl crush with her ever faithful fanny pack.

Okay, kids. This will be a lot of pics and few words. Just the way you like it. This weekend was insanely busy again, and I haven't had time to process anything yet. It was great. I watched movies with Coadster on Friday night, it warmed up enough on Saturday for me to run my six mile route, I went out Saturday night, and after some cooking, I went to my Superbowl party this evening. It was a kick-ass game and the Steelers won. Yea!

So, on Saturday night, my friend G. made us homemade pizza and then took us to a party her old college roommate was having at the Hills Community Center.

Hills is a town outside of Iowa City. I love going to small town bars or parties. I meet such interesting people, and it's great to go somewhere that isn't full of college students. At this thing in Hills, there were actually people who were older than me. Can you believe it? I sometimes forget that those people even exist.

I don't think we ever found out exactly what the party was about or for. There were a lot of people wearing pink and blue bowling shirts and there was a band playing oldies covers. We were a little different than most of the people at the party, but all the folks we spoke with were very nice. They took us to the back room and offered us shots. I can't really drink hard liquor, so I just documented the shot taking.

Apparently, the people in Hills are very authentic, or their clothing is, anyway.

The band was really fun and played songs everyone would know.

We got out among the bowling shirt clad kids and danced.

Eventually, we got tired and decided it was time to head back to Iowa City.

At the Dublin, we encountered some of our friends back from a wedding reception.

It seems many of our friends were a bit wine drunk from the reception and brought out their party tricks. The best one hands down was our friend's ability to balance almost anything on her head. I don't have that skill, but if I did, I would be so much more popular than I am right now.

All the cool kids wanted to be just like her and soon everyone in the bar was wearing their drink on their noggin...Except me, of course.

At last call, we ran upstairs to hail a cab and go back to our friend J.'s house. Just so you know, I really am wearing a skirt, it just doesn't look like it in this photo.

I stuck around for a few minutes and watched the Guitar Hero tournament, but I'm old and can't hang with the young'uns. I braved the icy sidewalks and went home and crashed. The end.

Oh, Won't You Hop Inside My Car?

Okay, kids. I had this kind of raunchy blog post about the different ways men and women that I know view sex and dating, but then I just got done watching Gran Torino and it was intense enough for me to need to process it. This weekend I saw The Wrestler and Slumdog Millionaire back to back and felt like I could use some therapy too. Anyway, I'm not so in the mood for the bawdy dame post. Try me again tomorrow when I've had a chance to recover. So, it's another old blog post. This one is from January of 2006 about my hitchhiking experiences. Here it is:

When I was nineteen I had fucked up most of my classes and was asked to leave the university until I could get my shit together. I didn't want to stay in Iowa City like a lot of my friends who were just working at restaurants and going to see different bands every night. My roommate's sister had been in the California Conservation Corps and really liked it until she met Dina Shore's son and eventually left to live in a little town outside of Eureka with him. I was up for an adventure and so I thought I'd sign up. In order to join the Corps you had to have a California address. My roommate's sister and Jody were nice enough to let me use their address and even forwarded me my mail.

I decided to move to Santa Rosa because one of the dishwashers at The Mill told me it was a cool place to stay. I flew there by myself and stayed at the Redwood Motel. It was a very charming town. At the time, they were shooting, Peggy Sue Got Married and they wouldn't let anyone go to the downtown section since it was a period piece. I had to take care of a lot of business before I could get accepted into the CCC and then once I was signed up I would have a month to kill before I started. I needed an interview, a physical and to take care of a lot of other paperwork. Since I didn't know how to drive at the time, I had to walk everywhere and make a wide circle around the downtown area. It was so much easier to hitch a ride. Of course, now I know how stupid that was, but at the time, I needed a ride and people (meaning men) would just pull over and ask me if I wanted one. I liked to tell myself that since I didn't stick my thumb out, that I would be able to choose. If someone pulled over that looked too scary, I'd just tell them that I was going for a walk and didn't want a ride, thank you very much. In reality, by the time I said, "thank you very much," they could have me pulled into their car and driven off with me anyway.

One of the other really stupid things I did at the time was take caffeine pills. This guy I knew in Iowa City, ordered a big bag of them out of the back of one of those punk rock magazines and I kept them with me wherever I went. I thought the pills made me more alert, but really they just made me spazzy and more annoyed with people than I already was. Bad idea.

Most of the rides I got were fine. Usually, it was some smarmy middle aged guy who wanted to talk to a young girl. They never asked about me, which was perfect because I didn't feel like talking, they would just go on and on about their jobs or their families until we reached our destination. The day before I left, I had come out of my physical where I learned for the first time that I had a heart murmur. The doctor referred to the kind of murmur I had as a "fad". I guess I never thought of myself as being all that trendy. So, on the walk home, a very nondescript man asked me if I wanted a ride. I got in his car and everything seemed fine. About a mile out, he stopped talking and became agitated. I could feel how pissed off he was. He wouldn't look at me and just gripped the steering wheel tighter and tighter. I finally asked him to pull over.

"We're not there yet, " he said and kept driving without looking at me.

"That's okay. I forgot I had some other errands to run so if you could pull over right here, that would be great." He didn't say anything and didn't pull over either. I was really nervous at that point and the pills were making me hysterical.

"Pull over! Pull over right now! I want to get out!" I meant to sound forceful and angry but I think I sounded more like a squeaky, petulant, little girl. He did pull over however, and before he could come to a full stop, I grabbed my backpack and ran. You think that would have kept me from hitchhiking but I told myself I would do it one last time to get to the bus station so I could leave Santa Rosa which didn't seem quite so charming anymore.

A guy named Roy stopped to offer me a ride. He was wearing one of those gas station attendant shirts with his name embroidered on it. I had my army duffel bag and my backpack (everything I owned) on me. He asked me where I was going and I told him I was meeting my family in San Francisco. I figured if he thought I had people expecting me, that he wouldn't try anything funny.

"You oughta be careful down there in the city. You know, I seen a lot of pretty girls like you become whoores in San Fran. It's just a shame what happens."

"I'll be fine," I assured him. "I'm going to meet my family and then we're driving to Yosemite together. See? Nothing to worry about with me." I wasn't even fooling myself, so I'm sure he wasn't buying my perky girl act.

"Instead of going down there and running into some bad business, you know you could always stay here. I got a trailer. Really, I got two trailers. You could live in one and I could live in the other. I'm working a vein in a gold mine up there in the hills and I just need someone to cook for me. It wouldn't be nothin' sexual, just some cooking and maybe some cleaning..."

Even though it sounded like every girl's dream, I talked my way out of that offer and out of his car. I kept reassuring him about my family, but what I really wanted to say was that I would rather take my chances at becoming a whoore in San Fran - at least there I wouldn't also have to cook and clean for anyone.

Livin' Crazy That's the Only Way

Somebody painted this on a newspaper machine that had been dragged into the Picador. I think the drawing's cool, but the sentiment is pretty much bullshit. I've been through some horrible periods in my life, and it's always gotten better.

I accidentally picked the Scavenger Hunt word again this week. Oops! Sorry. Anyway, I was functioning on a maintenance level this week, since I was so busy and the weather was so crappy, and stuff, and all I could do was tread water. Now it's the weekend, and I'm working more on balance. I'm trying to balance being practical and getting shit done, with relaxing and cutting myself some slack. It's been going pretty well so far.

I've had the entire day to myself, which has been strange but nice. I drove the girls where they needed to go this morning - Coadster made it to the show choir bus by nine and Stinky made it to her religious retreat thingy by 9:30. I'll pick Stinky up at seven this evening and I'll get Coadster whenever they get back, maybe 10'ish? I slept a lot and was woken up by a phone call. I spent some time dicking around and playing video games, but then I dug in and got to cleaning. My kitchen looks amazing right now. I'm spending two hours a day on getting my apartment in order and then another hour a day working on taxes and paperwork and returning emails. So, when I'm done writing this, I have to start in on my taxes. Wah.

The other part of my equation is relaxing. As soon as I'm done with paper work tonight, I get to crack open a beer and watch a movie. Hooray! All my friends are going out tonight, and I'd love to join them, but this weekend is about doing some inner work. Wish me luck!

Oh yeah. The Scavenger Hunt word...Maintenance. During the Winter I've been trying to maintain my sanity by thinking back to our roadtrip this Summer when it was so warm and all we had to do all day was frolic in the woods...

...And play on the beach.

But when that doesn't work, there are always drugs.

Oh, just kidding. I don't have enough time or money for a decent drug addiction. When remembering the wonders of Summer doesn't help get me through the Winter, I just become even more obnoxious and that always seems to take the edge off.

Clowns to the Left of Me, Jokers to the Right

The Saturday Scavenger Hunt Word was chosen by K_Sara. She chose the word lacuna. Here's the definition for all you all: 1. An empty space or a missing part; a gap.

My first photo was from San Francisco when we walked from the financial district to Chinatown. The only real gap between buildings in the city are streets and alleys. That's the problem I've had when I lived in cities before - that space never seemed big enough for me.

Here's me walking through a downed tree in King's Canyon. The insides were gone, so we were able to walk through the missing part of the tree. It almost looks like a gigantic key hole, doesn't it?

Here is a row of fencing creating lacunae. Usually focusing on the absence of a thing can be bad, but with fences, the gaps can mean freedom.

It Seems Like This Whole Town's Insane

This tag was from a wall by the Golden Gate Bridge. Apparently done by a San Francisco native.

It's another one of my, "It's late and I'm tired posts". I worked on an old timey country/bluegrass CD for my friend K. tonight. I'll put the playlist up on the blog one of these days soon here. Even if you don't know a lot of bluegrass, there are also a few trucker hits and a cowboy song, and some of the blugress songs are covers of songs you might know. I had to import a lot of my bluegrass CD's and then I decided to load my iTunes up with some other CD's I had while I was at it. So, I kind of screwed myself over for blog time tonight.

This was a leftover wall painting from the Olympics. Coadster was obsessed with finding any remnants from the Salt Lake City Olympics while we were there.

Which means you all get a mostly photo post tonight and some random ramblings about whatever enters my pea sized brain. (I almost spelled: brian - just so you know what you're dealing with tonight)

I decided to dip into my vacation pics again and pull out any photos I could find of my favorite kind of art - low art. I'm still working on that one painting and it's supposed to be a bit murally, and comic booky and graffiti-like and since it has taken me two years to really get going on it, I've had plenty of time to collect photographic examples of what I'm going for.

This mural was a side part of the mural below this. It was so big that Stinky had to photograph it in parts.

The wedding date guy drunk texted me on Saturday night. I hadn't heard from him since the text non-break-up, so it was kind of surprising. The first text was long and similar to what someone might write in your yearbook your senior year in high school. He basically said that he was glad he got to know me and that he wanted me to be me (?) and that we had to stay friends. I was tempted to write back, "It was really fun sitting by you in study hall. Don't ever change. I hope we see each other at keggers at the Lagoons after graduation." But I was good. I knew he was drunk and just wanted attention from someone of the opposite sex. We've all been there. I texted something about having had a great Summer with him and that I would always be his friend. Which was all true.

This was the main part of the mural. There were all kinds of groovy famous people painted within this one and the girls tried to identify all of them. Yes, we are dorks. What's it to ya?

I'm going to try really hard to remember to bring my camera to work tomorrow. Today there was a group of god people holding these GIGANTIC signs about how we all suck and we're all sinners and blah, blah, blah. These particular zealots, all seemed to be very attractive college aged kids. So, I was walking across campus toward the bank to drop off the work deposit, when some young buck tried to hand me his pamphlet. I politely declined it. Then he said, "You need to repent, ma'am. You're hopelessly lost."

I wanted to say, "Listen Buster Brown. If you call me 'ma'am' one more time, I'll make you repent." But once again, I was good and kept it to myself. People who know me, will be shocked to learn that I do indeed have a filter. I just forget to use it most of the time.

Is It Getting Better, Or Do You Feel the Same?

Today I've been migraine girl. I took my meds which helped with the pain, but then it made me super wiped out and weak. So, I'm actually doing the Saturday Scavenger Hunt, but I'm too stupid to do much more than put up photos.

This week's word was chosen by K-srasra, and she picked, one. So, the first one is a photo of that one bridge.

The second pic is of one guy fishing.

And the last one is of one tree. One really tall fucking tree.
