Okay. It's Saturday Scavenger hunt day, and since I'm finally staying in on a Saturday night, I'm actually doing this one on time. The word this week was card. Everyone else did very creative photos for this, and since I'm posting last, I figured I'd try a different angle. This is the definition I'm using: a witty amusing person who makes jokes.
Here is a photo of my daughters in front of the Hilltop when they were younger, thinking they are quite the cards - just ask them.
Now dear readers, I have a question for you. Just say you were going to have a long distance guy come visit you in two weeks, and you wanted to make a fun make-out playlist for your iPod. This is all purely hypothetical, of course. But if you were, and you wanted to, what would be your favorite songs to make-out to. And as usual, you don't have to worry about them being too cheesy, because you all know that my love for cheese knows no bounds.

Great use of the word my dear. As always your spin is different. That is another angle I fell asleep on.
Make out list for out of town 2 week visitor, let me think.
Saturday Night, by the Misfits (newer incarnation)
Too Fast For Love by Motley Crue
Slip it In by Black Flag
the entire Group Sex album by the Circle Jerks
Temptation by Cradle of Filth
Black No. 1 by Type-O Negative
I could go on for hours, but I am sure you would want to make out some.
Churlita,
Hey, if a guy was coming to see me from a long distance, he had better be an old chum from my Navy days, and there'll be no making out....songs or not.
On the other hand if I was to receive a long distance visit from a female and I was in a state of unmarriage, I'd hope to make out to Maurice Chevalier's GiGi, and in particular "Thank heaven for little girls, they grow up in the most delightful way."
C'est la vie,
rel
I've always liked UB40s version of Elvis Presley's "Fools Rush In", only they titled it "Can't Help Falling in Love"..I love the way the remade that version, it's got a great beat to it. That's the only song that comes to mind, though. Not much help, I'm afraid.
Your girls are so cute - just like mama.
I once had hours long make-out session with Ratt on a loop. I was really wasted and never saw the dude again.
More to my taste for snogging:
-Must I Paint You a Picture by Billy Bragg
-The entire Candy'O album by The Cars
- J'en connais by Carla Bruni
- Primative Painters by Felt
- This Ain't Livin by G.Love & Special Sauce
- Bob's Yer Uncle by Happy Mondays
Anything by Prince does the trick nicely.
As alway - have fun!
A correction: I didn't make out with Ratt. It was a dude and Ratt was the music :)
You know what is a good make out song - Eye by Smashing Pumpkins. Sexy song...
You can't forget "Baby Did a Bad Thing" by Chris Isaak.
Good picture of your cards.
"Heroes" David Bowie
"Tiny Dancer" Elton John
"I Just Can't Get Enough" Depeche Mode
"English Rose" The Jam
"Whole Wide World" Wreckless Eric
"You are so Beautiful" Joe Cocker
"I Need Love" L.L. Cool J
Pink Floyd albums like "Wish You Were Here" are good if you are just taking it easy.
um, i have no idea about the play list thing as i may as well be deaf, but your girls may be the most beautiful creatures ever born

Evil-E,
Awesome suggestions. Wow, you must have just made one for Rene or something because you really pulled those out there.
Churlita,
Ah. There's a lot of ifs in that comment.
Tara,
Every little bit helps.
Lady,
Awesome suggestions and I was going to be so jealous if you made out with Ratt. You would have been the biggest rocker out there.
Mr MAnuel,
I didn't even think of Smashing Pumpkins.
AlienCG,
Oh yeah, Anything by Chris Isaak is good to make out to.
Matt,
Great choices. I love The Jam. And Wish You Were Here would be awesome.
Margaret,
Thanks. Aren't they adorable before they become teenagers?
DAvid in DC,
Is this you and your wife's make-out playlist? I put on Springsteen's "I'm on fire", "To Sir With Love" and a CSN song, already, so it sounds like we're on the same page.
Anything by ENIGMA or DEEP FOREST. know this-- it will lead to more than MAKING OUT... but you're cool with that, right?
gotta second TLWDL Candy-O album.. god, does that take me back-- to backseats and peppermint breath.
I'll think during the day today, but I know a great album was Fisherman's blues by the Waterboys. But more for a long slow evening of sex...
Your girls are true cards :-)
I personally know of two cds that can be made out to in their entirety with nothing jarring and mood breaking on them:
1) Norah Jones - Come Away With Me
2) Beck - Sea Changes
You also can't go wrong with Ray Charles singing Unchain My Heart.
I love these old pictures! They are quite the cards, given all the hilarious stories you have of them! The Dirty Dancing soundtrack has some good songs on it!!
Good Times by Edie Brickell
Lets Get It On by Marvin Gaye (I don't even care - the song is hot!)
This is Harcore by Pulp
Shampoo Suicide by Broken Social Scene
Sugar Water by Cibo Matto
Sometimes by My Bloody Valentine
Carry Me Ohio by Sun Kil Moon
Fever by Peggy Lee
Just What I Needed by the Cars
What a great topic. I like to go for the mix of old and new. It's also hard to top the suggestion of all of Group Sex by the Circle Jerks: more effective than side one of Led Zeppelin IV.
But if I was putting together a serious make-out tape, it might look like this:
SIDE ONE (setting the mood)
"Brass in Pocket," Pretenders
"How Am I Different," Aimee Mann
"The Ballad of El Goodo," Big Star
"Under the Milky Way," The Church
"This Modern Love," Bloc Party
"Pressure Drop," Toots and the Maytals
"Everyday I Write the Book," Elvis Costello
"Maps," Yeah Yeah Yeahs
SIDE TWO (kick it up, then come down)
"Young Americans," David Bowie
"Heart of Glass," Blondie
"Crazy," Seal
"Dreams," Fleetwood Mac
"All the Wine," The National
"Lights," Journey
"Ooh La La," The Faces
"Still Be Around," Uncle Tupelo
Churly,
Your sister always seems to get hot when she hears the closing theme music to our local 10 PM newscast...
Just a thought.
B.
