It's the Wrong Time

So, yeah. Ahem. Um, okay. Erik broke-up with me this weekend and that's all I'm going to say about that. From now on, I'm applying the Fight Club rules to this topic and moving on. Kay?

Now, on a more positive note. Tomorrow is St Patrick's Day and it should be tons of fun. I have a really cute, short, black skirt to wear and everything. The tentative plan at this point is to meet my friends at Micky's at 6 for corned beef. After we fill our bellies full enough to absorb alcohol, we'll head down to the Dublin where I'll do my best to avoid drinking green beer. In turn, I wish all of you a green beerless St Pat's Day too.

I am celebrating St Patrick's Day by going to work. Then to top off my celebration I am taking the bus home with revelers from the nation's 3rd largest St Patty's parade. This should make for an interesting trip!! I hope to have many stories.

  5. I'm celebrating by going to Michigan City, Indiana for a few days for work. It should be an exciting holiday...uhh...probably not.

I had to go to Target yesterday at 5:15 because DS2 decided he needed something green to wear today.

Have a fun green day. It's snowing here.

  9. I'm working today, then hopefully grab a corned beef sandwich and shock the world by ordering it with white bread again, and then maybe I'll have a beer after choir tonight.

    Happy St. Patrick's Day!

PS: I'm so sorry about the other news, though. :(

  10. Lou: [Lou hits Tyler in the face] Do you hear me now?
Tyler Durden: No I didn't quite catch that Lou.
    [Lou hits Tyler again]
Tyler Durden: Still not getting it.
[Lou hits Tyler a few more times]
Tyler Durden: Ok, I got it. Shit I lost it.
[Lou continues to beat up Tyler]

Re: break-up? I feel like Tyler.

I was going to be ambitious and brave the crowds to take photos of the Chicago River being dyed green for St. Pat's on Saturday, but then I remembered that I have an aversion to large groups of rowdy people who are wearing plastic green hats and have been drinking green beer since 7AM.

And since I'm not an official member of the Fight Club, I'll break the first rule and say that I'm really sorry to hear the news, and hope you're doing okay.

  12. I'm with Jenny.

I'm also glad it's Spring Break so I didn't have to worry about dressing the kids in a color none of us own.

  13. 1. St. Patrick's Day always seems to come at a good time. Or maybe that's Guinness, and lots of it, that always comes at a good time.

    2. I've never done this before and I'm sorry, but I've tagged you. It's only a six word memoir.

  14. If sending me pictures of that little black skirt would help you feel better, I will take em.

Or better yet, we should get on Xbox live and get really drunk while shooting stuff.

  15. Seeing green food or drink feels more like a warning that it's gone bad than an invitation to partake.

  16. Ok, I won't mention it, but I will say that the fellows are crying out for pictures of you in short skirts. Am I right, fellows? I'm just sayin'.

    Rock on witchoo bad self.

I'm not talking about anything in particular when I say "Oh no!" And also? "HMPH." Just for good measure. I am talking about St. Paddy's day though when I say "DRINK UP DUDE!" I hope you have fun today.

So Eric is the fool or pretender and you remain the real deal. I hope you never look to complete yourself through someone else-cause you don't need to.
